DUE TO THE EXTREMELY HIGH-RESOLUTION QUALITY OF THE FINAL PRINT FILE, WE ARE ABLE TO PRINT EVEN THE SMALLEST DETAIL OF THE REPRODUCTION AND PRINTING PROCESS PERFECTLY ON THE DESIRED SUBSTRATE.

The richness of detail in the room-filling images is unique and overwhelming.

  • THE OBJECTIVE

The worldwide renowned Red Bull Music Studios, where musicians can record their music and produce records, were the inspiration theme for the large multi media room in the new building which is used for employees as well as guests.

  • THE IMPLEMENTATION

The two motifs were chosen for the multimedia room installations for their effect, but also to ensure focus on the stage and screen of the lecture room. For this reason, I decided on a backlit motif with a lot of black in the picture, which, depending on the effect, is either illuminated or quietly integrated. The second motif – the illusion of a window in size and placement – was placed behind the retractable screen so that it is covered during film screenings, otherwise the room is extended by another level.

      • Three-dimensional, reinforced wooden frame, side panelled, backlit, plastic banner

      THE OBJECTIVE

An oversized 250 cm x 600 cm music amplifier that projects 30 cm out of the wall in three dimensions, symbolising “The Power of Music”, is one of two photo installations in Red Bull’s multimedia and lecture room.

    THE IMPLEMENTATION

A real music amplifier was photographed in several sections and redesigned taking into consideration the room size and provided with the Red Bull Studios inscription, integrated realistically into the fabric of the speaker front. As with all my installations, all the details including every single control knob and button is reproduced absolutely in high resolution. In addition, I further enhanced the realistic and spatial depth of the motif already provided by the exposure technique and composition by integrating partial background illumination. The side walls of the wooden construction that let the amplifier protrude 30 cm from the wall have also been integrated into the overall installation and provided with the photographed outer coating of the amplifier. Both in daylight and in darkened rooms, the amplifier radiates its presence, achieving an enormously impressive representative effect.

        • Height 175 cm x width 275 cm
        • Lambda photo paper with 4 mm silicone glass lamination, aluminium Dibond sheet, glossy wooden frame

        THE OBJECTIVE

The opposite side of the wall should visualise a view into a recording studio with a band making a recording – also referring to the Red Bull Studios.

      • THE IMPLEMENTATION

The viewer of the installation sees the well-known hip hop band Blumentopf in the recording studio from the producer’s perspective, looking through a window. The view into another room is automatically suggested by the fake window frames that give depth and the effect of a spatial separation. The realistic effect and integration of the installation into the overall room was further enhanced by installing black resonance foam mats – as used in the recording studio – over the entire remaining wall of the room. The loudspeakers set up in the lecture room to the right and left of the installation for the multimedia system provide further support for the overall concept.
