Land Art

THE MONOCHROME COLOUR DESIGN AND THE REDUCED IMAGE STRUCTURE RADIATE AN ENORMOUS CALMNESS. EVERY DETAIL IN THE WATER FEATURE IS VISIBLE AND REAL.

The size and complexity are impressive and make the mystical morning atmosphere at the lake tangible. My absolute favourite room and a highlight for me and my guests.

      THE OBJECTIVE

The Silent Water photo installation, commissioned by a private party for a house by the lake, was based on the desire to integrate the lake as a motif in the modern architecture of the house.

      Morning mood at the lake

    THE IMPLEMENTATION

A morning mood at the lake photographed in partial shots and transferred onto the wall. While the monochrome play of colours lends the large-format picture a gentle, contemplative, calm mood, the bright horizon shining in bright light blue and golden tones gives it an enormous depth and steely power that draws the viewer into the picture. The predominant grey colours of the installation harmonise perfectly with the grey of the concrete wall. In addition to the flat composition and effect in the room, all details of the water surface and the jetty on the left edge of the picture can also be seen here in impressive hyper-realistic quality.
